I started making indie animations back in college, mostly for competitions or festivals.

Pulang ke Indonesia or Going Home to Indonesia was my first short animation that was produced not for a competition or festival but for telling a story, my story.  Although all the animations before "Pulang" were also based on my story (I wrote all stories),  the purpose is different.   I could get tired of competition, but I don't think I would get tired of telling stories.  In the future I hope I could tell more stories.

After "Pulang", some major change happened, I lost my job and that's how I made Ampibi or The Ampibian.  Then life just get weirder, I get stranded from the path of animation.

I started working as a freelance graphic designer, at some point I took an art residency to become an artist, then suddenly decided to take a master degree.  I was one of the 2020 graduate, I did my thesis defense exactly one day before the lock down. But thanks to the pandemic situation, I got chances to return to the way of animation.  For the very first time after several years, I finally made animation with my friend.  It is for a competition and maybe wouldn't be screened in other festival but we have fun making the animation and couldn't wait to share it soon.
